This episode is probably my best work yet. Its all new, a lot of it is unsigned and independent, and its all awesome. I cracked onto a couple new sources in the last few weeks, and they are paying dividends big time. I am particularly excited about the unsigned bands Argentina, Knicks and Crooked Colours. These guys are going to be solid performers. I wish I owned a record label…
I also played a little more of new favourite bands New Animal and We Were Promised Jetpacks.
Another interesting addition was made to the show, with the MYSTERY SONG OF THE WEEK making its first appearance. A few of my good friends show up to watch me broadcast the show every week and enjoy a beer. They like and appreciate my musical selections but they also listen to a lot of their own tunes, so what better way to recognise this than let one of them play a selection without me having heard it first? This week Dale selected kiwi band Six60‘s track Only To Be.
