The Breakdown Episode 134

Posted: August 23, 2019 in Uncategorized

Featuring tracks from Half Moon Run, City and Colour, Chelou, Booka Shade, Noel Gallagher, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Geographer, Holy Ghost!, COG, and Sticky Fingers.

Hi.

Apologies for being absent for so long. It’s summer here so there is much to get done. This one has been ready for about 2 weeks, just waiting for time to get dressed. She’s all done up now, just look at her, omg.

We are still getting through all our epic album releases, being; Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Chelou, Holy Ghost!, Sticky Fingers, Yeasayer and No Mono. This seems a never ending task, with how good these albums are. Indeed, there are still a few to get through…

Also, as usual, we have a bevy of individual epicness to share. Notably, Noel Gallagher simultaneously shows why Oasis was not a flash in the pan, and that he was the talent in the songwriting department in that little arrangement. City and Colour hitch up their skirt and flash us a glimpse of their new record, which has given us the proverbial musical boner.

We are also treated to flashes of new stuff from forthcoming albums from Bonobo, Jadu Heart, and Half Moon Run. Wow…

And to finish it all off… my favourite band from 2006 – 2009 – COG – has reformed and are releasing new material. The Australian version of shapeshifting prog rock masters TOOL are getting jiggy right as TOOL themselves are gearing up for a new album. Yes, we would have included the epic new TOOL single if it fit within our genre… But you have google. Go get it, it’s called Fear Innocculum

Love you…
