Welcome to another bangin lot of new tunes, guys. There are some crackers in here.
To start off, I have some new(ish) material from one of my favourite groups of recent times, and the creators of close to my favourite album of last year, Gardens & Villa. They have made a beautiful cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Gypsy. They also remixed Poliça’s The Maker, in very fine fashion.
Another track from the just released Son Lux album, Lanterns is included, and pardon my French but I effing love it. Stay tuned for more off this groundbreaking artists’ release.
More and more new stuff is leaking from America’s Toro Y Moi, leading me to believe there may be a release imminent. I hope so anyway, his last release was baller.
Fantastic albums from Black Light Dinner Party, CHVRCHES, London Grammar, Mount Kimbie, Keep Shelly In Athens, ODESZA and Holy Ghost! are still being immensely enjoyed, and are highly recommended for purchase.
Other highlights this episode include a new track from the holders of The Breakdown’s number 1 song of 2012, Wildcat! Wildcat!, along with beautiful songs from Roosevelt, The Paper Kites and The Kite String Tangle. Think I might try to make and fly a kite this week on that note.
